And by "we underestimated" Pann means "Drob underestimated."

I screwed this up badly.

But we'll get through it.

I only wish I was not so overwhelmed with my own life so I could call you and ask how you're doing and invite you to take walks and make you coffee and all kinds of other things.

Instead, I am holding myself together with no extra time or energy to help my mother with my 87-year-old grandmother who is staying with her, or read a book to my kid, or have a conversation with my spouse about anything besides bills and scheduling.

Wish I wasn't being such an absentee friend, Pann.

I think you should do one productive thing and then go have a smoke. Repeat as needed.

Pann, I think your idea in the last paragraph is a good start. If not, may I suggest some wine? :)

I use my crockpot almost every day! And you're right, my biggest successes seem to be when I just throw a bunch of stuff in there and hope for the best! DH's recent favorite is a whole chicken. rubbed with olive oil, sprinkled with garlic salt/pepper and Lawry's seasoning salt, then put in the crockpot on top of a couple of cans of french-cut green beans. He has been raving about this one forever and I was just trying to find a way to cook the stupid chicken without having to cut it all up first!

I LOVE my crock and couldn't agree more. Everything is so much tastier in it and it really IS so easy to use. You can NOT burn anything. Okay, I probably could. :)

Slow and steady! Seriously - every other day find on thing that seems to take up space and ask yourself these questions:

When was the last time I used this?

Can I honestly say I will use this in the next six months?

Will I use it consistently?

Is this item nostalgic?

WHY? Do I need this item to keep that memory, or IS THAT MEMORY HOLDING ME BACK?

That last one is the hard one, but ultimately the most important.

In my humble opinion!

You can do it!
